I’m Isabella Littleford—a professional fashion insider who’s spent years diving deep into where designer taste meets day-to-day life.
Backed by 10+ years in style and design, I’ve had the amazing opportunity of honing my craft in Paris, the capital of couture and partnering with renowned design icons worldwide. Those years gave me a clear lens for spotting luxury-level detail, forward-thinking design, and pieces that last. I’ve always been captivated by Golden Goose sneakers, a brand that effortlessly marries a distressed, lived-in vibe with impeccable high-end craftsmanship. Today, I’m offering my insights into several of the Superstar editions, highlighting their aesthetics, practicality, and adaptability.
Whether you obsess over every new drop or just want a reliable fashion-forward pair, I’m here to offer you expert insights with advice shaped by my industry experience. Let’s explore what makes these sneakers a standout choice!
A few months back, I bought my first Golden Goose sneakers (you might remember seeing them in a recent post), and received a number of questions about them since then. So many that I decided it was finally time to do a full write-up! I’ve also worn them enough now that I feel like I have a good grip on their quality, and a variety of other factors about them, which you’ll find explored in this post.
So I’m answering a bunch of popular FAQs, as well https://goldengoode.com as where to score deals on them, just ahead! Where can I find Golden Goose sneakers?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a great deal going on.
Placed my order on the 28th of April and they were delivered by the 30th, so the shipping was really quick and that’s a win in my book
How much do they run?
When I bought my pair in spring, I paid around $385, but their regular price is over $500.
You can expect to pay between $410 and seventeen hundred depending on their design features.
How is the fit?
Yes, they do run true to size, at least for me.
They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re between sizes, I’d go up
Are they comfortable?
They felt good almost immediately. I wear no-show socks with them, especially since they help with airflow. They’re made with real Italian leather, so it’s much more pleasant than breaking in plastic-based shoes. Plus, they’re already distressed so your feet just slide in.
How durable are they?
Since they come pre-distressed, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over the city, and they still look great. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid. Because they already look worn, I can’t even tell if there’s new wear and tear.
How are they vs. other brands?
Nothing else compares in comfort or quality. I wear Vejas and Tretons too, but Golden Goose are just on another level. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re crafted individually, so each pair is custom-feeling. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Would you recommend them?
Absolutely! But I’d recommend waiting for a sale. They’re not cheap, so getting them on sale is worth it. They’re worth the investment, especially if you find a style that suits you. I went bold with sparkle, but a low-key version would also look great.
Best places to buy them cheaper?
Here are the spots I found most reliable. I had a perfect experience with GGoose.org, so I always recommend starting there.
- GGoose.org – where I got mine!
- Gilt – membership is free!
- Vestiaire Collection – it also looks like they’re offering $50 off your APP first order of $150+ with code WELCOMEUS50
- The Real Real – amazing deals on new or barely used GG sneakers
- Ebay – additional great deals on lightly worn pairs of Golden Goose sneakers
- @likeabandit – she posts loads of Golden Goose deals on her Instagram stories, so keep an eye out
Where did you get them?
I ordered mine from Cettire when they had a limited-time deal going on.
I ordered them on the 28th of April and they were at my door by the 30th, so the shipping was super fast .
How much do they go for?
Back in April, I found a deal for $385.43 instead of paying the full $513.91.
These sneakers typically range from $400 to nearly $1,700, depending on how decked out they are.
Are they true to size?
I’d say they fit true to size, based on my pair. They haven’t stretched noticeably, so if you’re in the middle, I’d go up a size
Is the comfort worth it?
They required minimal break-in time.
Do they hold up well?
They look worn from the start, I didn’t worry about wearing them outside. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and I’m impressed with the durability. Nothing has torn, and the shape stayed solid.
Thanks to the vintage look, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
